Cooked the way home tastes.
“I cook like my grandmother did — slowly, listening to the oil.”
Elsa learned to cook in a Portuguese kitchen — clay pots, blue tiles, charcoal always going — with the flavours of her African family never far from the pan. Years later she brought it all to the street: one small truck, a tiled counter, and recipes that never changed. Everything is made fresh that day, in small batches.
